Larry J. Hughes, Jr.
is a twenty-year Internet veteran, a former head of
Amazon.com's Information Security team, and a pioneering
author on the subject of Internet Security. He is also the
chief architect of TrueLinks and
TrueForms.
At Amazon.com, Larry made notable contributions between 1999
through 2006. He held worldwide security policy authority for
all manner of electronic information, and was in a position
of influence for the entire technology base. Larry also
headed the tech team that powers Amazon.com Associates, the
world's largest affiliate network demanding of billions of
dynamic ad impressions and 99.99% service availability.
Larry earlier founded a seminal managed security service that
inspired a new product line for a publicly-traded firewall
company. He is the author of a landmark Internet security
book, a contributor to five other books, and serves as a
technical advisor to several high tech startups. Larry
periodically joins the speaking circuit at security
conferences and gatherings around the U.S.
